How A New Install Works
A straightforward, six-step process
The same sequence every time, so nothing gets missed — from the first site visit through to a fully programmed gate.
Site visit and quote
We assess the gate, driveway slope, power access and any existing hardware before quoting, so the price you're given is the price you pay.
Power connection
Electrical cable is run underground to the nearest safe connection point, with proper conduit and isolation.
Motor mounting
The motor is fixed to a base plate and bolted to solid concrete — new concrete is cast first if the existing surface won't hold it securely.
Rack and stoppers
Steel or nylon rack is fitted along the gate (nylon is recommended in coastal areas), and stoppers are set at both ends of travel.
Safety and limit programming
Open and close limits, speed, obstruction force and safety beams are all programmed and tested before we hand over.
Remotes and handover
Remote controls are programmed and paired, and we walk you through how the system works before we leave site.
Brands We Work With
Experienced across the major gate motor brands
Whatever brand is already on your gate, chances are we've worked on it. New installs are specced to suit your gate, budget and property.
Workmanship warranty
Every installation and repair is backed by a workmanship warranty — if something we did isn't right, we come back and fix it.
Straight quotes, no surprises
We quote call-outs and installs upfront based on what you tell us, so the number you're given is the number you pay.
Built for South African conditions
Loadshedding backup, coastal corrosion protection, dust seals for inland heat — we spec every job for where it actually is.
Common Questions
Quick answers before you call
How quickly can you get to a gate that's stopped working?
In most of the areas we cover we can usually get a technician out the same day for a gate that's completely stuck or not responding. Call or WhatsApp us with your suburb and we'll give you a realistic time before you book.
Do you install new gate motors or only repair existing ones?
Both. We handle full new installations — including power, mounting, rack and programming — as well as repairs and servicing on existing motors of most major brands.
My gate isn't stopping in the right place — what's wrong?
This is usually a limit or sensor issue, often caused by low gearbox oil affecting how the motor reads its position, or a stopper that has shifted. It's a quick diagnosis for a technician on site.
Will my gate still work during loadshedding?
Only if it has a working backup battery. We fit and service backup batteries sized to your motor so the gate keeps working through scheduled outages.
